This is how you make fire out two sticks of marula tree,cow dung and stones.I have learned that if you don't have papers and matches there is many ways to make fire.Especially when your at bush veld. No womens are allowed to make this fire. I am wearing a skin hat on top of my head,this is the skin comes from a cow's skin.In the olden days,old people the were using the skin as their clothes and even as their blanket.

Being a tourist guide you have to know general work.I was at wildlife centre,cleaning where the animals sleep.This is where zebras sleep.
I have to make sure that,this place must be clean and tidy. By taking out the droppings.I have to make sure that they have enough water and feed the young ones.

I was at wildlife centre,were we take care of the injured animals.on this picture,i was feeding a giraffe.It was 8 weeks old.We feed them with milk only.It was a friendly animal and this giraffe it was known by it's name called Gafi.In our rehabilation centre ,we do have blesboks,bluewildebeest,enland,duiker,worthog,zebras,caracals,cheetah,lions , birds(owls,hornbills and the rock monitor.We usually take care of all animals.

This bird(ostrich),it is the largest bird.Ostrich can weigh between 63 to 105kg.Ostrich's wings are very small and two of the wing fingers end in claws that can be used in attack.The ostrich has a long legs and they use it for protecting themselves by kicking against the predators.Normally the y stays in the open dry grasslands.They never stay far from water and they are the grazers.They eat various seeds and grasses.About 25 eggs can be laid and all of them can be hatched.This information is not enough but i will make sure that i read my books to know more.

Vultures

This bird is called a vulture,it is a bird that mainly preys on dead animals and occasionally hunts its own quarry(an animal being hunted.It is found across the world and this vultures are basicallydivided into two groups,namely old world vultures and new world vultures.Vultures can grow up to 15 to 20 years.they lay only one egg.It can weight up to 12 kg and their wings can grow up to 3m.They do have a verywell developed and heightened sense of smell.They do have the habit of building nests and they can fly for hours,they do not get tired soon.I really want to learn more about this vulture and other animals.I think this information will help me.

Capturing

It was on wednesday 15 July 2009,when capturing the giraffes.At that day we were supposed to capture 8giraffes but we do captured 3 of them.Because the others were too high(2 metre)and were supposed to capture those are 1.8m high or lower than that.Iwas enjoying,because they gave us chance to see everything and they gave us more information about capturing.I have learn how to blindful the giraffe before you can take to the vehicle.And even how many injection i have to gave.I have really enjoyed .

It is my first time to be in Polokwane Bakone Malapa Museum.So it was so interesting to saw a hut like that that was used by the olden people before,who was living there.So one day i want to see myself guiding there.The reason why i want to see my self is that,i know how to make a clay pot and even how to smear with cow's dung on the floor.

In life there are some things you take as very difficult.

Having being given the opportunity to go out and study tour guiding was one of the things I as one never thought i'd come across in my life time.

I must tell you as my guest who visited my blog that you can learn a lot from me, all you have to do is ask and I will provide the answers for you.

In this learnership I have learned a lot of things that I never thought they were even necessary, but because of of this learnership I know that there is a lot out there to tell the world.

Knowing about how nature link with human beings was one thing that fascinated me, I've always wanted to learn about the wild (plans, animals ect) and now that I got the chance to do so, I;m fulfilling my dreams.

If you tell people that you are a Tour Guide, they expect you to know everything as they call us the face if the country because we are the first people tourists meet when they arrive in the country.
I've also learned how to behave around people aspecially around tourists, as they are our economy growers.

Put me to a test and see what I teach you, I am sure you can learn a lot from me.
